A good action from today

Mini story time: in church this morning I was manning the sound booth when my sister texted me that the livestream audio had gone out. I went up and tried to fix it, but it was an unfamiliar system to me—Pastor was the one who set it up. But Pastor was occupied leading the hymns! And there was no one to replace him.

I did some quick brainstorming, and decided that I would volunteer. I had never done something like this before, but during the break for offering I went up and whispered the situation in Pastor's ear, and told him that I would lead the hymns for the rest of the service so he could go fix the livestream.

Thankfully they were all songs I were quite familiar with, but still! It was stressful volunteering to lead the congregation with no preparation—mental or vocal. But afterwards, when I got back to the booth, I got such a massive hit of dopamine. It felt great to have fixed the situation.

Anyway, just wanted to share that good moment from today :)
